VW radios have a code you have to enter. i did have my code, so i was at their mercy. an hour and $50 later, i’m told the car is ready. i pick it up. radio still doesn’t work. they told me all i wanted was the code. they didn’t know anything about the radio not working. ARE YOU SERIOUS?</p> <p>so they tell me it’s probably cheaper for me to install a third-party radio than to get my factory radio repaired/replaced. so i asked if my $50 for the radio code was worthless. the service manager told me straight up, “yeah. i guess so.”</p> <p>here’s my thing. $50 is nothing to them. however, it’s a big deal to me. i’m 25, $40,000 in debt (thanks college), and working paycheck to paycheck. I could have left a very happy boy if they apologized, refunded my monies and sent me home.
